  • Studio hourly rate at the time.

Canadians may be known for our duct tape but in this course you’ll learn many useful applications for plain, black, electrician’s tape. For those of you with copper foil experience, here’s a chance for you to learn 3-dimensional construction techniques while making a beautiful and useful lamp.

Students can choose from a range of lamp patterns. Over four weeks you’ll have the opportunity to perfect your cutting and soldering techniques while learning the ins and outs of spiders, vase caps, skirts, crowns, and other aspects of panel lamp construction. We’ll even introduce you to “George’s Arm”.

This course involves four, three-hour classes and, due to the individual nature of this project, there will be opportunities for unsupervised studio time, outside of scheduled class time, using our tools and equipment.

Price: $300 + tx *Note: Students will be responsible for providing their own glass, lamp base, spider and/or harp.
