L.A.M.P.S.

LAMPWORKERS OF THE ATLANTIC AND MARITIME PROVINCES SOCIETY.

The Lampworkers of the Atlantic and Maritime Provinces Society (LAMPS) was born of the desire to bring lampworkers and all related crafts people together to create an interactive community, share information, network, increase individual sales, and to educate.

Local lampworkers were tired of finding “Canada” listed after all 50 states of America and only rarely was “Atlantic Canada” acknowledged. LAMPS is one way this flamboyant art form can be recognized for its contribution to the cultural, economic and educational fabric of Eastern Canada.

LAMPS is a non-profit organization that strives to:

  • Connect lampworkers of New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island with each other.

  • Promote the sharing of information and knowledge amongst ourselves via various internet forums and periodic gatherings.

  • Create networks that will support opportunities for education and skills training for lampworkers of all abilities.

  • Reach out beyond our membership to develop an appreciation of lampworking by the wider community.

LAMPS’s presence is a Facebook page:
